With the planet in the threat of facing crisis as manifested through the burgeoning demand for fuel resources, the shift of focus to the major problems such as Bio-fuel, global warming is vital. Mineo Case Study is presented in association with The Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration Engineers(SME), IIT Kharagpur Student Chapter

  • Eligibility

    1. The participant students must be currently pursuing education (undergraduate or postgraduate) in a recognized institute. The participants may be asked to furnish the supporting documents at to prove the forementioned criteria. The competition is wholly created and managed by GREAT STEP -11 organising team. In other words, students must:

    a) Have played a major role in conceiving the venture,

    b) Have key management roles in the venture, and

    c) Own significant equity in the venture.

  • Event Structure

    1. The competition will be organized in two phases. The first stage will be online while the second will be at IIT Kharagpur during GREAT STEP.

    2. The PRELIMINARY round will aim to float initial challenge to all the participants . There will be a problem statement whose solution will have to be submitted online before deadline.

    3. Participants will be short listed on the basis of the merit of their submission. Short listed participants will be eligible to appear for the gruelling session of CASE STUDY at IIT Kharagpur during GREAT STEP.

    4. Second Round will be a presentation cum debate cum questionnaire round whereby the teams will have to present their work done on the problem before other teams and Judges.

    5. The final winners will be declared on the cumulative scores achieved by the teams from both first and second rounds.
